Making a new start, revamping my life-Starting with my hair :D

Well on a whim I decided to go and get my hair done.  I've been sick of the way it looked and how long it took to do things with it for a long time. So I decided to take the plunge!

Here's the before and after.

BEFORE

AFTER (but a little fuzzy sorry)

So in case you can't tell how much was chopped off. Here's an idea.

Yes that's right! I still have this hair because it will be donated to make wigs for cancer patients.

If you are interested in doing the same thing go check out Locks of Love here, for donation information. You wouldn't believe how much something so simple as cutting a large chunk of hair off can help a child who needs it.

  2. I totally agree Debbi. I'm so glad they were there for your sister and everyone else as they pass through such a rough time in there lives. It's amazing the comfort that hair gives!

  3. wow, i can't help but admire you for having the guts to do something amazing like this. Frankly, I think I'm quite selfish when it comes to hair ... I just cannot bear to see myself with a short hairdo. :(

Nonetheless, what you did is admirable. :) Well, like you said, new hairdo, new start!

  9. I've always wanted to do that! ...Alas, due to some freakishness, I've been going gray since High School and have regularly colored my hair since....I don't think they want my wirey colored grays...haha!

Good for you! I bet you feel great on all levels :)

  11. Still following you from the last blog swaps! This is a really wonderful thing - I'm currently saving my hair up for my wedding, but maybe after that I can have myself a nice bob and help too!
